Gender

Gender, roles, and the life you were handed

In Uganda, gender often arrives as duty: be strong, provide, endure, keep the family together, do not make a scene. This is a confidential place to look at how those scripts have shaped your mind and your relationships.

Women and the mental load

The quiet work of holding a home, a job, a church, a family — and still being told to be strong. Therapy can be a place to put that down and look at it honestly.

Men and the room to speak

Many men in Uganda were never given language for fear, grief or tenderness. The work is not to make you someone else. It is to make it safer to tell the truth.

Family, culture and roles

Daughter, son, wife, husband, first-born, provider. Gender often arrives as expectation. We look at which roles you chose, and which were given to you.

Identity without a script

If you are questioning who you are allowed to be — in public, in marriage, in your own body — we go carefully. This is a confidential room, not a public debate.

How we work here

We go at your pace. Nothing is announced for you. The room is private. If what you need is simply to speak about marriage, motherhood, manhood, church, or the body you live in — that is enough of a reason to begin.
